This place is helpful for those who need methadone treatment. A dear friend of mine has been able to cope with life because of going to this place, and is helping me get another friend connected to treatment.

If you are looking to eventually obtain long-term abstinence, this clinic is not for you. If you want to still use other opiates, but want to use methadone as a tool to manage dependency, this is definitely the clinic for you. That being said, you can get whatever you want wherever you want, if you put your mind to it.

It is what it Is! Works if you allow it! The people associated and employed by this place do the best they can considering the patients they have to deal with on a daily basis! (Example of most patients: 9yr olds trapped in 50 yr olds bodies! Immature, ungrateful, rude, self-absorbed, grandiose, narcissistic children). Only problem I have with this clinic and every other methadone clinic is that there is no final solution to coming off the program. Yeah, they say they have ways to help you but I am textbook example that they don't! Been on clinic for 5 years, clean urines the entire time, but now I am left with no options. I accept it's my responsibility and on me to fix it, but the clinics should offer an extensive outpatient program attached to the clinic. They have some responsibility to help you considering they made money getting you to this point.

It's an okay facility overall. It's clear that all the counselors have a HUGE workload, ever since the ram clinic closed down, and allied took in most of those patients it seems my counselor is always busy doing something and I don't receive the same level of care I used to. That being said, so long as I schedule an appointment a couple weeks in advance we do still get to meet, but if something comes up and I need to speak to her without prior notice I can expect to wait an hour to see her. The groups are nice, Ive been to tons of them and it does certainly make a difference which counselor is facilitating the group. Find a counselor you like and stick to his/her groups. Nowadays I'm in the parenting group so I can bring my son, that group is okay though the new counselor running the group isnt as good as the old one. Overall so long as you do the things you're supposed to do, go to group, see your counselor once a month, and have clean UA's, you won't have any issues. Honestly even if your UA's are always dirty they don't bother you much, so long as you don't have benzos or alcohol in your system... But you won't have any chance of getting take-home doses if you don't have clean UA's. If your aim is to stay clean then this place is as good as any.

This Clinic is a decent place for people with opiate addiction to come get help. It's a part of getting better and hopefully to recover from the horrible aspects of what happens because of addiction. It's a shame that more clinics weren't run like this one. They really do care.
