My experience with the people at NW ADHD has been great. Before you even start getting prescribed ADHD meds you take 3-4 classes on what ADHD is and what you can do to manage it without meds. The therapists there are pretty cool as some of them also teach some of the classes. The nurse practitioners are really great since they take time to know you. If you got ADHD and other things related to it, this place is a great resource to manage ADHD

I started coming here for treatment about 10 months ago. I'm currently very happy with my therapist, coach and Nurse practitioner. It's been life changing but It wasn't a smooth ride. It was very hard to get an intake appointment. I tried for three months prior to getting in. This was during a particularly vulnerable time and it was really hard to wait without help or any idea when it would be available. I sought counsel elsewhere unsuccessfully. Finding a therapist who understands ADHD and takes my insurance; apparently it's a rare combo. After I got in, it took 5 months to get in to see a the nurse practitioner, again due to staffing and management issues within the center. My first counselor was pretty awful (apathetic during some very vulnerable moments, could barely pretend she wanted to be there some sessions, couldn't engage well with me beyond the q&a intake portion, very little eye contact, typing the whole time...). I don't say that lightly. I respect and admire my current counselor and am growing a lot with her support. The current staffing/management issues seem to be better than last year, so hopefully other people seeking help won't have to feel the way I did. All this to say, if you have ADHD and you feel like you need help navigating it, there is help here but you need to advocate for yourself. Don't stick with a counselor who you don't click with because there is likely a great fit if you are persistent in getting the help you need. Also, I cannot say enough praise about Elizabeth Nuñez! She comes to patient's homes and helps put organizational systems in place as well as offering help troubleshooting issues of living with ADHD that come up as she's there. If you need it, it's a godsend. I can also reccommend my counselor Michelle Blum, who is engaging, wise, empathetic, very helpful and just all around awesome.

So grateful! After years working with a pediatrician whose knowledge we discovered wasn’t very deep with regard to ADHD and other comorbid conditions, I found this clinic through my insurance. They have a very knowledgeable intake team you can cal to ask any question (believe me, I had a lot!). I was impressed with the intake person’s knowledge and the center’s process for intake as well as long-term I care. I was told our desire to keep the process of working with ADHD as transparent as possible, and as close to maintaining our values (not just throwing medicine at the problem) as possible. This clinic has been so good for helping us with the ADHD in our family. Therapy has really helped. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has done extensive testing to help find the right medicine. So far, so good. This group has taken our concerns seriously. We feel respected and listened to. I would recommend this group to anyone seeking help.

There's a couple good counselors here but mostly interns who are young & inexperienced. We found our own viable alternatives to medication later outside the clinic. Unfortunate that they didn't make suggestions to save a lot of time & trouble when they were unable to provide solutions. Can't say I appreciate being ignored by the receptionist until her uncontrolled dog comes after me.

I have been going to this clinic for about 2 years now and I find them to be excellent! The staff I interact with truly have my best interests at heart. I'm speaking of my medication nurse, my psychologist and even the office staff. I will say that the first psychologist I had left suddenly after 4 months, the next one was pregnant so I knew she would be leaving soon, finally I found a psychologist that was very well-suited for me. I guess I'm saying that it's not fast food and you need to give this place a chance. I love the beautiful therapy dogs too! :*)

I've only had good experiences with the front desk, my counselor, nurse practitioner, and even the dogs. I've always left feeling like the people I interacted with had my best interests at heart, even in the longterm. I would definitely recommend this place.

I feel terribly sorry for those before me who had a bad experience. I was diagnosed later in life (22, and I'm 23 now). This has been a life changing experience. Someone complained about the dogs, but there are 2 dogs that are training to be therapy dogs and they're very sweet, just very eager. I love them every time I come in, but that may just be more personal preference. I've never been ignored, and the office is kind and helpful. My therapist is wonderful and I feel very helped with my medicine. I'm grateful for this clinic.
